Do not take your child here!! ...

Do not take your child here!!
I took my child here, and there was only one dentist on staff (I didn't know this initially)he had at least 8 or more kids that were all in the back at one time. This should have been a red flag. This indicates that they are more concerned about the quantity of service and not quality. My daughter later told me that the dental assistant told my daughter to shut up when she cried. Who does that to a small child. The dentist also made rude remarks to my child. The dentist nor the dental assistant offered comfort to my child. Pediatric dentist should be caring, they were far form caring. There is no telling how many other kids have gotten treated ugly as well. Other people may comment that their child was not mistreated, But one mistretaed patient is one too many.

Dear Bass123, We would have appreciated a chance to personally address this issue as we hand out the dentists email and phone number to every patients parents at every single visit. Again if this is a genuine comment please call Amanda at 678 735 4565. We thank you for providing us with feedback about your experience and appreciate the time you took to write this review. We prefer to be one doctor office for continuity of care, and in terms of seeing many children, we have hygienists that see more patients for cleanings in a kids office typically than an adult type office. And kids cleanings do go quicker unless their hygiene is poor. We do have quiet a large office and appreciate the parents that choose us, and at times we do get busy, but stay efficient and precise. In no office of ours would any dentist or employee be rude or treat any kids unkindly, all our employees have kids of their own and we do nothing but care for them like our own, which is with genuine care and affection. We wish you and your child best of luck at your next dentist. Sincerely Perimeter Pediatric Dentistry And Orthodontics.

MY CHILD IS NOW AFRAID TO GO T...

MY CHILD IS NOW AFRAID TO GO TO THE DENTIST BECAUSE OF THE EXPERIENCE HE HAD WITH DR. NAPH AND HIS STAFF TODAY!
My husband is a retired Critical Care Registered Nurse and I am a Critical Care Registered Nurse. We know that, when done properly, dental procedures do not have to be barbaric and painful experiences for children.
1) My husband was told BY DR. NAPH our son would be taught how to wave his hands to let Dr. Naph know if he was feeling anything. Read on to our son's own words to find out how he was not allowed to wave his hands during this procedure.
2) My husband was denied the ability to go back with our son, even though he requested to be with him during procedures. He was NEVER offered a private room so do NOT believe the replies that there are private rooms offered because one was NOT offered to him. Let me be very clear about this: MY CHILD WAS IN THE BACK, ALL ALONE, GETTING A TOOTH YANKED OUT WITHOUT ADEQUATE ANALGESICS, FEELING EVERY SECOND OF IT, NOT ALLOWED TO WAVE OR MOTION OR MOVE BECAUSE A DENTAL ASSISTANT TOLD HIM TO KEEP HIS HANDS DOWN, DEFENSELESS TO STOP IT AND THE PERSON WHO IS SUPPOSED TO PROTECT HIM (HIS FATHER) WAS NOT ALLOWED ACCESS TO HIM DURING THIS!!!
3) When I came home from work and asked our son about his experience, these are HIS words:
Our Son: It was okay until the part where they were squeezing my tooth and pulling it really hard, that hurt really bad!
Me: Did you try to tell Dr. Naph he was hurting you?
Our Son: I tried to wave my hands but one of the ladies told me to keep my hands on the bed. It hurt really, really bad, Mommy!
Me (trying not to cry): Did you make any noise, baby?
Our Son: I tried but they had my mouth opened really wide and I couldn't close it and I couldn't move because they kept telling me to be still. They couldn't hear the noise I made from my mouth because he kept squeezing and squeezing and pulling. It was really scary.
Me: Did Dr. Naph say anything to you?
Our Son: He just kept saying it's going to be just a little pinch, just a little pain. (pause) I don't have to go to the dentist ever again, do I, Mommy? I don't want to go ever again.
A metal "bridge" (looks like a metal paperclip bent into a square and molded to the back tooth) was placed where the tooth was. This "bridge" does not look like it was put in straight and has a metal corner jutting inward, toward the inside of his mouth. It is also pressing into soft tissue, which cannot be comfortable. I can already see this is going to be problematic when he starts eating regular food again.
This was absolutely horrifying for me to hear. Our son now does not ever want to go to the dentist again because of this, EVER. He did not have this problem with his last dentist and the only reason we do not go there anymore is because of a change in insurance, his old dentist is not in-network.
I have called your office and left a message. I also await your response here. I dare you to call my husband and my son liars. I defy you to say your staff is caring when your staff would not even let a defenseless little boy wave his hands in pain! Don't you find it strange an 8 year old didn't want to take one of the "treats" you offered? He told me he just wanted to get out of there.
I ask you, HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF YOUR CHILD TOLD YOU THESE THINGS ABOUT THEIR MEDICAL OR DENTAL PROVIDER? Probably as angry as I am right now, I would be willing to bet.
How does one correct a trauma-acquired fear of the dentist?? Because this is what WE have to deal with now!!
And, to the dental assistant who kept telling him to keep his hands on the bed, go find another job that does NOT require compassion....or for you to be around children, for that matter. You walked my poor son out and told my husband how courteous our son is. You are so fake. Go away.
I await your reply.

I just moved to GA in February and I was not looking forward to seeing a new dentist for my son! He can be a bit difficult at times and hasn’t had the best experience when it comes to the dentist. I am soooooo happy that I found this office! I can not give them enough praise! The ENTIRE staff is great with children. They will make sure your child is comfortable, explain to them what they are going to do and show them how the tools work so they won’t be frightened. They keep you informed on everything that’s going on during the visit and with your child’s teeth. The dentist will make sure that all of your questions and concerns are addressed. I look forward to continuing my child’s care here at this office. I’m truly amazed with what a wonderful experience we had!
