Quilted Blessings began in February 2004 when Pam Sprinkle purchased a longarm quilting machine and starting quilting for others out of her home. By January 2007 she needed more room and moved the business into rented office space a few miles away. There her business continued to grow for the next two years. In January 2009 she purchased the Quilt Shop in Bristol, Virginia from the family of Eva Sims. This little quilt shop was started by Eva in 1986 and quilters came from far away to buy their quilting fabric and supplies and to take classes from her. Everyone loved Eva, and that included Pam, who got off to a good start in her longarm quilting business due to Eva's many customer referrals. By the summer of 2008, Eva's Alzheimer's had progressed to a point where she could no longer operate her shop or live alone, and she had to move to an assisted living facility. So Pam purchased the shop and moved her longarm quilting business in with it. The Quilt Shop became Quilted Blessings Quilt Shop. Due to the need for a better building, Quilted Blessings moved seven miles away to Blountville, TN in October 2010.
