East Central Energy is a member-owned electric cooperative. The company provides electric, Internet and long-distance services for homes, farms and businesses. It supplies services to more than 55,000 customer locations spanning multiple counties throughout east central Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin. The company is a member of Touchstone Energy Cooperative, a national alliance comprised of approximately 600 cooperatives in the United States. It depends on Great River Energy for its power supply. Great River Energy generates electricity and transmits it from power plants to East Central Energy sub stations for distribution through local lines. East Central Energy maintains its head offices in Braham, Minn.
