After living here for 7 months things have taken a toll. The gates did not work for over a month and continue not to work when ever it rains.



Somebody destroyed the mailboxes and now we must travel to the post office to collect our mail for over 2 weeks because Aventine will not fix it. As per the post office I quote "Residents have told me that when they mention it to Aventine they are turned away with an attitude." After another week USPS said they will no longer store our mail and send it back which is a major violation of the Aventine lease contract, I should be entitled to my mail!!!



The neighborhood is sprawling with spider webs because they refuse to trim any tress, I understand that it is outside but maintain it!! I don't need to shimmy through a giant spider web trying to come down the stairwell that's been there for a week.



I thought parking was decent until I began classes and got home past 9:00pm.



There were drug dealers in the neighborhood who must have been arrested only to be replaced by brand new ones who make no attempt at hiding it.



The place is not that well lit which would explain the sexual assault last year at the playground which you can look up in the newspapers.



The only pro is the inside of the apartment which I sometimes find myself not wanting to leave since the drug dealers have clients coming and going at all hours with the gates broken all the time. The dog area is also nice and was my deciding factor to move here until I discovered that they trim the grass every few months making a doggie do-do mine field.



They have little garbage's outside everybody's apartment where a service comes to pick it up, that's nice but I would have liked the option instead of being forced to pay more.



They have also switched paying services to Western Union which is strange and any time I try to pay the rent, Western Union looks at me like I'm crazy because nobody has ever used it to pay rent until now.
