In an area that is chock full of restaraunts and bars Carolina fits right in as being a very nice place to eat and watch a game at a reasonable price. I go there once every couple of weeks at least. The service has been fine when I have gone The working girls are friendly and actually pretty hot for the most part. They have an outside smoking bar that is huge and gets noisy and fun while the inside bar is more reserved. Beer selection is quite good with my favorite Bellhaven on tap. It's a semi sweet carmel/Guinees like brew and definately potent at about 6%. Happy hours are 2 for 1 NOTE to owners I do wish they would have weekend happy hours which is why I dont go there then and the times I have it's not busy and that is why I think. I've had burgers, sandwiches, nachos and fajitasare. All real good. They have 9.99 dinner specials the chicken parm is filling. All in all Carolinas is much like the Miller Ale House and Brus Room both nearby but sometimes it's good to move around, meet new people etc so check it out You won't be disapointed.

We Eat here at least 1 per week good food at a good price.

This was our 2nd visit...the 1st was a Sunday and we went for dinner. My husband ordered the steak salad to find out they were out of steak! They were newly opened so we waited to go back thinking all the kinks would have been worked out. On August 7th I go to reserve a table for 10-12 people for the next night for my son's 16th birthday. The hostess told me they do not reserve tables but would go get the manager so I could talk with him. He assured me that it would be no problem and had the hostess write down my info. I called at 5:00pm on August 8th to confirm and all was good for a 6:30pm table. We showed up (8 in total) and were told they could not hold our table as a party of six came in 15 minutes prior to us arriving. The table next to the table that was "suppose to be for us" was empty for 45 minutes. I pointed out that table twice to the hostess yet they sat another party that came in after us at that table. She informed me that a high-top was available and that they were waiting on 2 young ladies to leave the next table so we could have two high-tops together. Needless to say, the high--tops on both sides of these ladies were empty and they waited a good 15-20 minutes for the ladies to leave. I asked them if they wanted me to ask the ladies if they would mind to move to one of the empty tables so we could get seated and they told me they were working on something. After another 10 minutes, the hostess asked me if I would be willing to take the table next to the table that was empty for 45 minutes!! Which of course we did! The manager was not the same manager as the manager I originally spoke to on August 7th who obviously did not communicate to each other! The only reason we stayed is the kids wanted to shoot pool (which they have 2 tables) and I had already got them playing on a table 20 minutes after we got there (an hour before we got a table to eat). Once seated, I explained to the waiter what went on and we have a very tentative waiter named James. So attentive, that the other tables were aggrevated as he was neglected them.



Needless to say, this was our last dining experience we will have there!
