Clanton & Associates, Inc. was founded in 1981 and specializes in quality lighting design. We have completed over 2,000 lighting design projects including interior, exterior, analyses, and research work. The goal of our firm is to provide high quality lighting with a strong design aesthetic and an emphasis on architectural integration. Our work demonstrates our ability to design energy efficient lighting and to promote integrated and sustainable lighting systems. Through the use of an integrated analysis and design approach, the potential for equipment and energy savings in lighting is maximized. Design strategies emphasize environmentally responsible systems which help to avoid glare and light pollution. Clanton & Associates has designed lighting for nine projects which have been named to the AIA Committee on the Environment's Top Ten list and 12 projects are LEED certified, including four with a platinum rating Clanton & Associates has three registered engineers (PE), one Lighting Certified (LC) designer, and five LEED AP designers. Nancy Clanton is also IALD (International Association of Lighting Designers) and a Fellow of the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) as well as a registered engineer and lighting certified.
