Today I left work early and took the time off. I drove all the way from Seattle to the North Kirkland location only to find out that their record still showed I had used all 20 units. I distinctly recalled the conversation with the doctor and asked to speak with him about this. Apparently this doctor had retired. I insisted that in fact the records were inaccurate. They were chicken scratches on the file by the way. The receptionist contacted the manager and said tough luck. Then to appease me they offered me a deal if I purchased more Botox today. I already paid for the 10 units they owed me and there was no way I was paying them a single dime more! When I asked to speak with the manager I was told she wasn't available. Funny that the receptionist was just on the phone with her 5 minutes prior to this. I asked if she was at the other location and was told no and that someone would get back to me. No number no name just that someone would get back to me.

DONT BUY their Groupons for Laser Hair removal....there is a reason they keep selling them thru Groupon...mass fast cash, and nothing for it. These guys have done these Groupons 3 times in just over a year, talk about a cash grab...,and this time they are increasing their 6 sessions to 8....hmmmm, looking for more quick cash from unsuspecting.



The Laser they use does nothing...the laser itself isnt that great (check reviews), thats why they say for any skin type...but on top of that I dont think they are changing the tips. I bought 2 - SIX session packages for them...that is 12 sessions for my legs...guess what...nothing has changed!



I am not a virgin to laser hair removal...and I have the perfect skin type for it. Had my bikini done a few years ago, better laser, Better place...bikini free and clear. Now I have wasted alot of cash and more importantly alot of time.



As far as techs most were good, one I swear was just trained...but the worse is the manager KATY - OMG, this is one self centered, self absorbed, know it all....bad management!



Dont waste your time or money here, there are better places with results...pay a bit more and actually get something for your money!



And a side note...on Grouponm they only are allowing reviews from sites where they have them loaded with positive reviews...NO YELP reviews on their! SHADDY company!

***UPDATE: 9.26.12 - AURA Laser Skin Care just called my personal cell # to THREATEN that if I didnt change my HONEST review of them that they would take "Action." Are you flippin kidding me...these guys are sooooooo SHADDY!! They mislead customers, then are rude when they are questioned about their service, then they think they can try and STRONG ARM people into changing their reviews. These guys should be happy that I wrote such a tame review of them...I have much more I can say about their "service." And as far as the "client" contacting you because they arent happy....duuhhh, already did that and got Katy, the joke of a manager, telling me I didnt know what I was talking about, kept infering that I was not telling the truth about the service I got...I never complained once, but the first time I did have a concern, I saw their true colors. Dont worry about contacting them if u have a concern or issue, cause they will call you, and probably with a threat. BEWARE!!!!!!!

Bad business. Buyer Beware! I should have listen to my friends, they were right! You get what you pay for or in this case even less! Please, if they say something is included in your package or that you can come back and do this or that get it in writing.Don't be surprised when they turn from nice to pure evil. I was slapped with untruths and accusations. Never again.

Beware, Not to be trusted. Customer is always wrong attitude, but with a very rude and condescending flair. Don't bother wasting your money, if you do, don't bother wasting your breath because no one there will listen to a word you have to say. Wish I would have listen to the negative reviews. I read that they got caught writing their own reviews and have threatened people who write negative reviews with legal action. Run, run fast., do not be sucked in by the low cost.

Very nice and pleasant people that tell you what you want to hear but when the time came to follow through with what they had told me the horns came out big time. Before I purchased my package the head nurse told me that something was included. I confirmed this with the doctor not once but twice. When the time came to make the appointment for it, suddenly it was not included. The manager was arrogant and rude and kept insinuating that I was lying about the whole thing. She made me cry! Horrible, horrible, horrible people. Read some of the YELP reviews before going there, I wish I did.

I swear by this place!

I needed to begin laser treatment and be hairless come the summer time. I was planning a four month trip, in which I would have no time to get waxed. I went to Aura Laser Skin Care because I heard they did their skin treatments really well, and really fast. When I called them, they were very nice on the phone, and I was surprised when they offered me a free consultation.They booked me for the next day, and were very lenient in terms of timing.

I went in the following day, and was so happy with the way they treated me! At my consultation, I learned a lot about my skin and the different treatments Aura Laser Skin Care offered. I was so impressed when they performed a spot test on my skin, in order to make sure I was a good candidate for the laser.

By the summer time, I was in fact hair free! I spent four months without having to shave/wax even once! It was truly liberating. Not only the hair is gone but my skin feels smooth as well. This place rocks!!!"

I am so happy with Aura Laser Skin Care, and their FotoFacial skin option. I had a lot of dark freckles, and they were so much darker than my skin, that nothing worked to get rid of them in the past. I was wary of trying the IPL FotoFacial, but I heard it got excellent reviews.

I called Aura Laser Skin Care to see if they had any options for my skin and hair combination, and they were so helpful. The representative on the phone booked me for a free consultation, and assured me that they would help me find an effective hair removal solution for me.



Subsequent to analyzing my skin, the Aura Laser Skin Care professional assured that laser could work on me. I was scared about the pain of the laser, but the skin care professional was very gentle the whole time. She explained to me that the pain of laser treatment has a lot to do with the technique applied and not necessarily with the intensity of the machine. She lasered me on a lower temperature, but added more treatments, all for the same price.



When it came to payment, which I was most nervous about, the professionals at Aura Laser Skin Care worked with me to break the payment in 3 equal amounts. They let me pay them for one third at first treatment and then the other third at second and the last third at my third treatment, and they gave me a discount when I referred my friends. Surprisingly, the laser really worked on me. After having done laser only four times, I was pretty much hairless. I went away for 4 months in the summer, and I did not need to shave even once!



The feeling of being hairless is most definitely liberating. No more worrying about having to wax or shave. I am smooth and clean all the time! I really recommend doing laser hair removal to every woman out there, and I extremely recommend using Aura Laser Skin Care! It is by far the most professional, clean, and cost efficient laser hair removal place in Seattle!

I wanted to thank the Aura staff for the excellent service I received during my last hair removal treatment. The nurse who treated me was very good and really cared not to miss any hairs on my face. One thing I noticed now is that Aura has more staff and lasers than when I first visited and that is a good thing in my opinion.

Aura Laser Skin Care uses predatory sales methods that take advantage of the naive and vulnerable! Judging by the reviews on Yelp it also takes advantage of more experienced adults.



My daughter went to Kirkland Aura Laser Skin Care last week to take advantage of the "free evaluation" for removing acne scars. She already had an appointment scheduled with her dermatologist, but an acquaintance of hers told her this was a "really good place" so she wanted to give it a try. She went to the Kirkland office and talked with "Jessica" (no last names are given out for any of the employees there, not even the manager). One of the first things she was asked was "How much money do you have?" Before my daughter left the place, she had been talked into signing a $1,000 contract for a "special package" that she had to take advantage of and pay the majority of immediately. This coincidentally was the exact amount that wiped out the savings she had been carefully collecting over the past year working a minimum wage job.



My daughter insisted on trying to take care of this situation by herself. She got in contact with Jessica the next business day to say she had changed her mind. Jessica said she didn't have time to see my daughter for another 4 days. (I assume reducing the ability to use the law regarding buyer's remorse.) By that time at least, my daughter had been talked into letting me come along. Jessica was very sweet, very smooth, but said "It is just company policy that we do not refund payment for contracts once they have been signed. We would not be able to stay in business if we did refund it." (You mean like legitimate businesses do?) She showed me the spot on the contract where is so stipulated. As I got angrier she remained calm and sweet, and had a well practiced, smooth response to everything I said. She is an experienced con-artist.



Jessica had never given my daughter a copy of the agreement she signed, so I asked for one. The office "didn't have a copy machine" but they would make one available if I came back in 24 hours. My husband got on the phone and asked for Jessica's last name, but was told it was company policy to not give out last names. He asked the name and contact information of her manager and the owner. He was given a first name only of the manager (no contact information) just the promise that he would get a phone call from this person within 72 hours. He asked for the name of the owner. Jessica said that it was a "silent owner" who prefers not to be identified.



My daughter feels devastated. She has learned a lesson I am sure she will remember. But I hope to also teach her that making a mistake that leaves you victimized does not mean you give up and just let it happen. I have never filed a complaint about a business before, never written a review like this. I don’t know if the sales practices at Aura are within legal limits, but they are definitely way outside of ethical. I will be pursuing a report to the Better Business Bureau and whatever else needs to be done as soon as possible.



Poking around on the internet, I discover that Aura Laser Skin Care is owned by Venus International LLC. According to the Washington Secretary of State, Venus International LLC (UBI Number 602471276) is located at the same address as the Bothell Aura. The headquarters of Venus are in Mumbai, India. The local agents are Nader Issa and Katayoun (aka “Katy”) Ghaemi.
