Joyce was not only difficult to get a hold of, her staff was unresponsive as well. We met Joyce at a new building in Southie that we had been extremely excited about. She showed us several units and we found one that we really liked. After our meeting, we e-mailed Joyce, as discussed previously, to commit to renting. With several unanswered e-mails and phone calls as the week went on, I lost hope but my fiance was still pushing for it. At the end of the week, he finally got a hold of someone who told us we could come in and sign the lease that afternoon. They actually told us that the papers were ready for us. Within 15 minutes, he received a text message from a number we had never contacted (presumably her assistant's cell phone) that said the apartment had been rented. Our inquiry as to other available units in the building received no response other than "I'll check."

Two days later, on my flight back home, I received a voicemail from Joyce explaining that our lease papers were ready to go and that she was so happy to congratulate us and welcome us to our new apartment... on a street we had never been on. She obviously had the wrong person. I returned the phone call the next day, and of course never heard from Joyce again.

Don't be fooled by the NewYork311 postings or Joyce's flashy website and canine outreach. She may have a good sense of how to reel in clientèle, but her lack of integrity is unforgivable.

Great real estate agency in Southie. We moved from the South End to South Boston with the help of Joyce's team. Found a great place off of broadway and we love it. The process was very smooth and stress-free. From finding our new condo through closing, Joyce was a great resource. We plan on being residents of our new neighborhood for a long time.

Working with Joyce Lebedew Real Estate was a great experience. Jack Staley helped me find a new apartment in the Seaport district. We had a very small window of time to find a new place. Jack really worked hard all during one of the worst winters in Boston history to help me find a new home. It was great to work with this team. Highly recommended.

Joyce helped me buy my new house! We recently moved to South Boston from North Carolina. We found Joyce Lebedew Real Estate on the web and we were very pleased to work with her. We found a beautiful house on the east side. It's hard to make a long distance move, but Joyce helped us every step of the way. Thank you Joyce for our new home.

After dealing with Joyce Lebedew and having several half-truths come to light, I decided to ask around about her. First I check to see if she had any violations with the real estate board to find out that she is operating on Stayed Suspended license. Then I was told stories of inflated rent, stolen TV's, etc. I unfortunately signed a lease to a building that I am now possibly not getting in to due to issues and there is NO APOLOGY, NO COMPENSATION, and she is holding my money! RUN AWAY, RUN FAST.

Be warned, Joyce Lebedew is not to be trusted. She regularly attempts to inflate prices by specifying rental parking is available when none in fact exists. That is just one example of many. Make certain you do not trust a single word that comes out of her mouth. If you see her at an open house, the best bet is to leave. If you want to take your chances, for your own good make sure you get everything she says in writing. She is famous for not delivering upon what she promises.
