The Harriet Tubman House is home to adult programming and administrative offices for United South End Settlements. It also houses a development department, gallery, volunteer service offices and program units for adults. Built in 1976 for USES, the Harriet Tubman House hosts a range of events, such as conferences, parties, computer classes, art and cultural activities and educational programs in its cafeteria, children's art center, classrooms, lobbies and conference rooms. USES offers an adult basic education program that develops skills in reading, writing, math, science and social studies. Its after-school program offers structured, thematic activities for children on school days. The organization s early childhood education program serves infants and toddlers from 6 months to 3 years.
