Provided by YP.comI brought my recently purchased Fender Modern Player Plus Telecaster in to the shop because of a couple high frets. Mike "leveled" the frets without polishing and re-crowning, so I polished out the abrasion marks myself with a standard fret polishing kit. The guitar never played well in the higher frets again, so I went to another luthier I had known for years over in Pennsylvania. I thought a re-crown would fix the playability problem, but I found that from the 15th fret to the end of the neck the frets had been filed down so low that they can't even be crowned. My guitar is now damaged to the point that I either have to sell it, buy a new neck and install it, or spend $400.00 for a refret job, which you don't do on a guitar that sold for $500.00 brand new. Essentially, Mike, you ruined my guitar. Your workmanship is fast but sloppy, and now I regret ever coming to your shop.

Provided by YP.comThis place is fantastic. Mike does great work and is a true professional. It is great to have a place that isn't a chain, and have someone remember you when you come in even if you're just having minor work done. He treats everyone great, even if you're new to the whole guitar thing like I am. You can't go wrong here!

Provided by YP.comI took a guitar to Mike at BGR. It was not playable when I took it in, and now I'm having a hard time putting it down. Mike's also writing up a spec sheet for a custom Bass build for my son. I know I appreciate the personal service. It's nice to know that the guy you're handing your guitar to is the guy that will be doing the work. Thanks again, Mike!
