Between the receptionist's condescending comment, "Is that why you are here...so you can learn how to talk," to my three year old son who was naturally shy and the therapist trying to physically pry his mouth open to get cooperation is beyond belief! For a speech therapist who claims to have 20 years experience, I would expect a friendlier approach and better understanding of a three year old boy on his first visit! Any child would be a little intimidated and I think a "professional," would know this. There isn't a word strong enough that can describe how poor this experience was!
