Provided by SuperpagesA good "old time" cozy bar and grill and restaurant. It is located in down town Bloomington and has a small .parking lot in rear. It was the first pizza place in Bloomington in the 1950's and the pizza oven was brought to Bloomington from Chicago in the back of a hearse. Serves better than average thin crust pizza and has a good menu of other Italian food. Beer is always cold and staff is very friendly.

Provided by SuperpagesWho cares about the service! ! Lucca is an institution!! You can't beat the atmosphere. I don't like to miss the live Irish groups that play on St Paddys Day. I will be moving from Bloomington, and will definetly miss the "Baldini" pizza with the crunchy cracker crust. It's the BEST!!!

Provided by SuperpagesService was not good tonight. Had to get up twice to get drinks and other things our waitress forgot. Our order was wrong and when we got the bill we were overcharged. The waitress said she could get the manager but they were "really busy". I had to overpay for marginal food and leave.

Provided by SuperpagesI am 43 now, and have gone there since I was a child, Things have changed there since then. What I remember back then was this old lady who I think was the only one who ever made there pizzas, and let me tell you, you had to try the pizza back then. What thin crust pizza should really taste like, consistently supreme, only the old lady made them like that, sad she's gone, she might have been one of the family relatives who started this place. As for today, not the same, inconsistent, rude, and cocky staff. What if Diner Drive Ins and Dives comes to town, they better clean up there act, Guy won't like that. If back then was now, he would say that lucca grills pizza is off the "hook" and should be in the dictionary for thin crust pizza. 6 stars then, 3 stars now.

Provided by SuperpagesOne of the most unique pizza places in Central IL. Great specialty pizza and selection of beers. You can even get Schlafly (St. Louis microbrew).

Provided by SuperpagesI am from a large city and wanted to find some good pizza in Bloomington so I went to Lucca. The pizza was not very good at all and all they offer is cracker crust. I was very disappointed, however I thought I would give it another try and this time ordered spaghetti. Again very let down. It was runny and soggy and way over priced. I do not recommend Lucca.

Provided by SuperpagesDon't listen to that last review. The pizza at this place has ALWAYS been amazing! Lucca is our home away from home. There is no place like it at all in Bloomington-Normal...wonderful atmosphere, wonderful people, wonderful food. We are moving to Denver, and Lucca Grill will be the only thing we miss about Bloomington, IL!

Provided by SuperpagesAll of their Italian food is good, but what really stands out is their pizza. For the past year, it has been burnt or tasted like cardboard! They really need to talk with their pizza makers because it is a shame for a local favorite to have bad food!
