Called and the cab arrived just when they told me it would. Had the pleasure of having a good conversation as the driver took me to my 3 stops. Ask for driver 40....he's great.

The owner of Checker Cab needs to fire the female dispatcher who is so extremely rude and yells at customers on the phone. As other people below have mentioned even if you make a booking they are cancelled without notification. That's happened to me 3-4 times this year itself. SInce they are the only cab company around they are getting away with it. It is not possible to contact the owner because this bitter dispatcher won't put you through. Hope he will read this and will do something. This woman's speech is acidic to the core. She spills the bitterness of her life and character on to others. Just fire her or train her how to speak properly with customers without accusing them of being lairs.

First time I called the service was pretty good. Now the past 3 separate times I have called NO ONE will answer the phone.. Sorry to say they have lost a loyal customer in me. The point of a cab is the availability.

Was lectured/practically yelled at on the phone by a female dispatcher at this company on 3/20 around 1:40 pm when I asked them to send a cab because a different company had been keeping me waiting for 45 minutes. Cab driver was fine, but the dispatchers are horrible. Not going to this company again because of the poor experience on the phone.

This company is horrible. They will drop you off but turn off their phones and won't take any calls when they are busy with college students downtown (10pm-2am Th, Fri, Sat). They literally don't answer the phone during these times and don't take any calls, although they advertise being open 24 hr/day. Take forever/false advertising/need more competition

I rode in a Checker cab the other day and had a very helpful driver who was willing to help me with my luggage and tell me a little about the area. I was surprised to see how quicklythey arrived and how professional this business is! A computer in the car for GPS dispatching, and they take credit cards in the car!

i called checker cab and asked for a quote. they gave me a quote and i explained that i didnt have it, and was trying to get out of an abusive relationship. The lady on the phone took $90 out of her own pocket and paid for me and my two children to have a ride.

the driver was very courteous and clean.. he helped me with everything from loading the bags and the kids, to leaving out before the abuser had come home from work, he even gave me a cup of change to use on food to get to where i was going... now im in a happy home and doin well.. thank you checker cab. yall are wonderful. keep up the good work and may God bless you all!

You cannot blame an entire company for the fault of one idiot. Idiots are everywhere you go. Im very very impress with the level of customer service that the drivers of this cab service provide. Most companies have very strange drivers and I have found that this company has very very nice clean curtous drivers. You have to remeber to that most of the drivers do work a good 12 hours a day if not longer and that should be taken into consideration when you want to complain about service. As far as Im concerned I love checker cab and like the drivers who take me around town. Great job to you all at Checker Cab and God Bless you all.

I highly don't recommend these folks. I made a reservation A WEEK IN ADVANCE for the owners of a prestigious company to use these people to get from the airport to the arena - about a 15 minute drive. My co-workers were on a very tight schedule and everything needed to go as planned. When my guys landed, there was no cab. I called Checker to see where they were at and the guy who answered the phone was practically yelling back at me saying it wasn't his fault and he came in early and therefore he just happened to answer the phone. Meantime, my guys were still waiting. 30 minutes later, still no cab. I called back, the same guy answered and said they did send a cab out to the airport, but since they're only required to wait THREE MINUTES (yup, 3 minutes at an airport!) the guy left.



Nevertheless, my guys just rented a car for their 15 minute drive. It was much easier than dealing with these folks. They have no customer service at all. Unfortunately, they would've probably received about $150 tip. Needless to say, a manger never called me back to even apologize for this oversight.



Don't be fooled when they say they're the only company in town who have computers to better organize reservations. They are worthless.
