St. Alexius has prided itself as a Catholic hospital, with a strong commitment to mission, vision, values and quality care. But they have hired a new CEO who is primarily concerned with profit/bottom line, so it's living its values, emphasis primarily on quality care, and focus on "let all be received as Christ" are rapidly eroding. During the last two hospitalizations of family members, for example, there were too few staff, more stress in staff, and negative comments about administration support. They need to hire a new CEO and regain their number one position in the region as the quality of care hospital of choice.
