I bought a Yorkshire Terrier from Tea Cups and Toys, and she just turned 9 years old. I have never had better, more personal service than what I have received from them. After I purchased my puppy, I received a call from them everyday to see how everythig was going. Was she eating all right. Did I have any questions? They provided helpful tips and a great deal of friendliness. The second week, they called me every other day. When you buy a dog that is only 2.5 pounds, the care can be a little daunting at first. My Yorkie grew up to weigh 4 pounds, and she is beautiful and perfectly healthy. People stop me whenever I have her with me and carry on and on about how beautiful she is. The owners of Teacups care for their puppies so well, that my dog has never forgotten them. Whenever I bring her to the shop, she goes crazy when she sees the owners. She absolutely loves them -- and this is not somethig she does with many people.

As a note, reading people writing about this store selling sick dogs seems very odd to me. I have never seen or heard anything to substantiate anything even close to this. I go there a lot. They buy their puppies from top breeders with decades of experience and hand pick each one. They are beautiful and healthy puppies. That is the only reason I bought my dog from them, and I'll buy my next one there, too.

Teacups & Toys is a great store!

The owners of Teacups & Toys couldn't love or care about their puppies more. They do not sell sick puppies nor do they get their puppies from puppy mills. They get their puppies from reputable breeders. They know the breeders well and have been to each of their places to ensure all the dogs and puppies are well cared for and loved. They hand pick their puppies before bringing to their store. They never have more than 5 or 6 puppies at a time in their store thus ensuring that they can give quality, loving care to all of them. They bring the puppies to their home every night and love them and care for them. They guarantee the health of their puppies and have them thoroughly checked out by their veterinarian. Also, when you first take home a puppy the owners call every day to make sure everything is going well and to walk you through the puppy’s first couple of weeks at their new home. They give you instructions to take home with you. They are at new (and old) owners disposable for any help or questions that you may need or have. It sounds like you didn’t follow the instructions they gave to you when you first brought your puppy home. These little guys need special attention.

The long and short of it is the owners are great people, the store is awesome and the puppies rock!

Terry, Please send me your contact information. My son purchased a dog from this company for me and it has a bone disease which is eating away the femur bone and it's knee is popping out of socket too. My vet said it was a genetic disorder found in yorkies. I requested a refund, but the staff thought I sounded ridiculous and treated me with bad customer service. My yorkie just turned 1 and has to have a hip replacement.

Really bad customer service . ...

Really bad customer service . The people are very pushy, and talked to me like I didn't know anything . The puppies are very sweet , but not worth what they are selling them for The "AKC" pedigree pups aren't even close to the breed standards, or that healthy. I held one of the puppies , and the joints in the knees kept popping out of place.I asked my vet about this out of curiosity. She said it's what happens from bad breeding, and requires a expensive surgery to fix. They are practically puppy mill dogs sold at a high end store. Look up AKC.org for info on proper AKC dog breeds. I had my dog groomed here once . They nicked my dog with out telling me. Will not take my poodle back!

I had a similar experience of poor customer service when I recently went to Teacups & Toys. Not very helpful and were very pushy into trying to get me to purchase a dog that I definitely didn't want. I went to yellow pages and found Woof Woof Puppies & Boutique which isn't that far from Teacups & Toys and ended up going there and wasn't disappointed at all. The place is beautiful , something you would see in California or New York and the people are even nicer , not pushy at all. They brought out a few puppies for me to see, and let me sit there for over an hour with them until I finally made my decision. Also there prices were a lot better, cute healthy puppy , happy kids for Christmas, they even gave me a designer puppy shirt for free , can't ask for more!!!

I was extremely disappointed in the customer service for a business that deals in high in pedigree dogs. We have been proud parents of toy poodles for many years and have decided to add a teacup poodle to our family. The store contacted us and advised they had a black poodle that we just had to take a look at even though our request was for a white male teacup or small toy. After convincing us we must see this dog we agreed we would drive down and see him the next day. Once we arrived, I presume it was the owner who indicated the dog had been sold. We asked why we were not advised of this before and he responded that the person who contacted us was not available and there was no card on file to even indicate we had made an inquiry. Although, the persons who had purchased the dog had only made a deposit we were not even offered the opportunity to see the dog. We gave them the benefit of doubt by filling out another contact card and was further insulted by being told they were expecting a litter of creme dogs who could possibly turn white. Well, although the merchandise was quite unique it is extremely doubtful that we would feel comfortable purchasing a new family member from this store.

Amazing

My friend and I went to this shop to see what it was like. When we walked in the lady who owns the shop with her brother was so friendly and kind. She even explained to us while we held a puppy that her brother and her go and hand pick out all the dogs. So I don't know how the other reveiw on this website about this store got a sick dog. It might have not even been the stores fault. When we were there all the puppys were playful and cheerful not sick at all.

Stop this store from selling sick puppies!

Please help stop this pet store from continuing to sell sick puppies. I purchased a puppy that was extremely sick, and took her to numerous vets and specialists. The owners cared little for the puppy, and were terrible to deal with. A local veterinary hospital warned me that they sell very sick puppies that have extensive medical conditions. The owners care only about selling these sick puppies at extremely high prices. I had a terrible experience with these people and wouldn't want anyone else to ever go through what I went through. I wouldn't recommend buying anything from this boutique.
