I had this company rebuild one of my IR Air compressors. First after they put the unit back together I discovered several bolts had not been reinstalled on the shroud that covered the belt and pulleys. I replaced the bolts to have the shroud properly secured. Within a month of the rebuild the oil had signs of metal in it and the unit was getting louder. The company finally had an oil sample analyzed (I had to take the sample) which came back with metal in the oil. After they disassembled the unit they discovered some components were bad. They had to order the parts and the unit was out of commission for over a month. When they rebuilt the unit for the second time I noticed a couple of the shroud bolts again were missing so I replaced those again. Approximately 30 days after the second rebuild a bolt that was mounted in the center of the compressor head worked its way loose and was found laying on the floor. This allowed air to escape and the compressor constantly ran. I reinstalled the bolt and contacted the company regarding the issue. This is when I found out the unit even though it had just been rebuilt a second time was no longer in warranty period. Update: 10-12-18. Compressor now threw a rod and busted a hole in the case. Had to purchase a new pump. No support from Alabama Compressed Air.
