My husband and I needed help walking our three dogs, and I found Mark Davis through his website. When I read that Mark had spent a week volunteering at one of my favorite places, Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah, which I had also visited, I knew we might have found the perfect person to help us. It turned out I was right! Mark was so good with our dogs; they loved their walks with him. He was so trustworthy and always reliable and such a very nice and professional person. We were so sorry when he left the L.A. area, but the people in Bend, Oregon are very lucky indeed! We highly recommend Mark to care for your beloved animals.

I am extremely pleased to recommend Mark Davis at Animal Friends Pet Care. For the past 5 years Mark has taken care of my cat 'Copper' and he has always provided honest, reliable, and dependable service. When it comes to 'Coppers' care and safety I am a very paranoid and cautious mommie! I travel a lot for my job so it is important that when I am away I am able to focus on my work and not worrying about 'Coppers' well-being. Mark has done a great job assuring me she is well taken care of while I am away and eases my mind through detailed emails of his time spent with her. I know for a fact that Mark spends quality time with Copper because of the detail he writes in his emails (I know her habits and only if he spent some quality time with her would he know). I fully and completely trust Mark with Copper. She usually runs and hides when strangers enter the home but not with Mark! When I come home and open the door she is not scared and acts normal as if I never left home. I have also in the past had to request Mark at the last minute due to an emergency and he was very accommodating on such short notice. Copper and I truly will miss him and the care he provides to his animal friends and we wish him the best in his new home of Bend, Oregon.

Mark has been our dog walker for over three years. Our golden retriever, Chezzie, absolutely loves him and paces the house waiting for him to take him on a walk. He also has helped us out numerous times with boarding Chezzie at his house. We always know that our dog is being watched by someone who cares for and loves our dog as much as we do. We highly recommend Mark to any dog owner.

We were so blessed to find Mark when we moved here about 9 months ago! He has taken such great care of our animal-babies! He has provided in-home care for our cats, including providing under the skin IV fluids and meds to one of our kitties who has kidney issues. He also has become a great friend, companion, and caregiver to our German shepherd, who has been boarded in his home many times. I know he takes good care of her because she gets excited when she sees him! We are sad that he is leaving our area, but someone in Oregon will be getting a wonderful, caring, and trust worthy pet sitter. My husband and I highly recommend him!

Animal Friends was an incredible pet sitter/walker. Mark Davis, the owner, is reliable, kind-hearted, compassionate and a true friend to animals and their owners in need of help caring for their beloved pets. I can't recommend this service high enough. When my father passed away-I was desperate for help with caring for his treasured black lab. Mark was always there and available to help in whatever way was required, suggested excellent ways to improve our dog's health and diet, and truly cared for my dad's dog as if it were his own. Mark Davis has been a god send for our family and animals. Mark is wonderful with our animals, and he is a very responsible and trustworthy person. I would highly reccomend Mark to anyone in need of Petsitting. We have traveled a lot in the last 4 years, and everytime we came home from a trip our animals were all very happy and the house was immaculate. Animal Friends' Mark Davis checked on and walked our two English bulldogs in the middle of the day while we were at work. He started out when they were pups doing the noon feeding and bathroom break. Now that they are grown up he comes by to give them some yard time, a walk and play.



This was an ongoing daily service Mark Davis performed during the work week for which we hired him in January 2009 until August 2010. The only reason we discontinued his ongoing service was my wife is having our first child and we are bringing in a childcare person who will also look after the bullies. We love Mark's service and if the budget allowed separate childcare and dog care we would defintiely keep him coming everyday. We will still use him as needed.



His service has been fantastic. He has such a great demeanor with our dogs. They both took to him right away. I checked several of Mark's references before allowing him access to our home and they were all very positive. I wholeheartedly add my recommendation. Mark is an extremely trustworthy and likeable fellow. In addition to our dogs he brings in our trash cans every week and has helped me out with several small house errands. His rate is comparable to other services but his effort, competence and compassion are exemplary.

Mark Davis took care of our 3 dogs from July 25th - July 30th while we were on vacation. He was incredibly professional from the day of the initial walk through to the day we arrived back from vacation to a fresh scented clean house, with our mail neatly sorted and our floors cleaned.

One of our dogs has glaucoma and needs two eye drops administered twice a day which he also handled.

He kept in touch with us and was easy to reach while we were on vacation to check in.

Additionally he was extremely punctual on every single one of his visits. (my house in monitored with an on-line alarm company and I am sent a text when the alarm is turned on or off)

I would not hesitate to use Mark again.

Mark provides a great service. He has taken care of our 3 cats numerous times when we are gone, and keeps an eye on our home, brings in the mail, waters the plants etc. He is dependable, reasonable and has made it much easier and less stressful for us to leave town.

Mark is just wonderful! He has been spending time with our Vizsla since she was 2 months old. We are sure she adores him as much as he loves her! Our Cinnamon girl is almost 6 months old now and Mark spends quality time with her every weekday morning. Our puppy learns valuable soicialization skills from Mark and gets the much needed excercise she needs during his visits with her. We are so glad to have found Mark! Our family enjoys reading Mark's notes regarding his daily visit and interactions with Cinnamon. Since our girl can't tell us about her daily visits, Mark keeps us updated on her progress with training, excercise, and temperment. Our Vizsla couldn't be happier and neither could we!

Mark became my dog walker after I broke my foot and could not walk my German Shepherd Dog, Sasha. Sasha is a shelter rescue, and did not want to leave my side. Several of my friends tried to walk her for me, but she would not go with them. Mark came to meet her, and instantly formed a bond. He was gentle, patient, and loving, which allowed her to get comfortable with him. I was home, in a cast, so I was able to watch the transformation. Mark is the best there is at what he does.

Mark Davis went above and beyond. Our Westie, is our baby boy! We don't take his pet care lightly especially when we are out of town. We had last minute travel plans for Labor Day Weekend and his normal pet "spa" was booked. I did some research on the internet and came across Mark's website. We have been hooked ever since!

He was professional, prompt, trustworthy and the biggest factor, our dog LOVES him! When we returned from the weekend not only was our doggie happy, Mark had done our dishes, brought in our mail and taken out the trash, FOC!

His pricing is extremely reasonable, he is trustworthy and has a real compassion for animals.

I was extremely pleased with the level of pet care Mark provided to my pets (2 dogs and cat). He was obviously loving and caring with them and they were very happy and healthy when I returned. He kept me informed of their progress and carried out the special requests I had (like closing up the doggie door and putting dogs in bedroom and night and out in the morning, opening the doggie door in the morning and making sure the cat was locked behind the baby gates when the doggie door was open each day). I am extremely grateful for the extraordinary services he performed for my pet “babies”. I will use his services again and recommend him to anyone.

Mark Davis puts me at ease. I'm one of those people who goes on vacation and worries about their dog too much. All of those worries went away when I saw my dog react to Mark arriving at my house one day and this was just at the start of their walking together. Shadie (my dog) reacts to only one person with that much excitement and that somone is me. After I got over the initial shock and jealousy I realized that I had picked the right company to be there for her when I can't be.



Mark has done everything in his power to make me feel at ease whether I'm at work or on vacation to let me know that my beautiful black lab baby is in the best hands. I truly believe my dog is in the safest hands and I know she will have fun too.

Mr. Mark Davis did an outstanding job in providing assurance that our three dogs, and home, were safe and secure when we were traveling. Providing pet care services in our own home is so much more desirable than pound-like "day-care" services. Our three pets are little "rescue" dogs each with their own personality quirks that require attentive patience. Mr. Davis' considerate and caring character won over all three dogs immediately upon meeting him. His thoroughness and attention to detail were impressive. It was clear that he was completely aware of each pet's needs. Mr. Davis’ service is by far the best we've ever used and will be the only service we use in the future. We had to leave town on very short notice. We called Mark Davis on the night before we had to leave. I had my fingers crossed that he would be available and he was so friendly and came over within the same hour to visit our pets and show us the ropes. I couldn't believe how complete his service is! Not only does he take the dogs out and play with them, but he waters your garden and checks the mail at no extra cost! I found the price to be very reasonable and his care to be exceptional. He emails you daily about each visit and even sends you photos of your pets running around enjoying his company. He even brought over a raw hide of our Staffie Brutsy to enjoy. I was so at ease while we where away because when Mark met Brusty (Staffie) and Weiner ( Toy DauchsoDoodle) he was so friendly at unintimidated by Brusty's size and Weiner's energy. He took the time to bond with them before hand so that they would trust him while we were away. Now we know who to go to when we have our summer vacation! I had to go out of town for several days and didn't want to board my pit bull dogs. One has a shy nervous personality and the other is a huge handful and somewhat destructive. In the past when I have boarded, my little girl has returned home a nervous wreck and my big boy is usually out of control for several days. I hired animal friends to stay the night at my house for several days hoping to avoid these issues. Mark met me at my home prior to the visit. He was personable and seemed to immediately connect with both of my dogs. We walked through the morning and evening routines. He took notes on everything. He left me with references and documentation of his licenses and insurance. I felt very comfortable leaving my home and family in his hands. While I was away I received lengthy e-mails every morning from Mark relaying everything that happened from when he arrived through when he left the following morning. He took pictures of my dogs and attached them in the e-mail. He even let them sleep on the bed with him, which I had told him he didn't have to do. When I returned home my loving family acted as if I had never left. I had none of the issues I'd had following boarding. Mark also checked my mail and watered my plants. I would highly recommend Mark and Animal Friends Pet Care to anyone for pet sitting or dog walking. I will definitely be using him in the future.

We are busy professionals who often come home late in the evening. We also have a rambunctious dog who loves to play in his backyard. Unfortunately, we do not like to let him roam free when we are not around. This is where Mark comes in. He is there to let our dog out during the day when we are not able to make it home before our 4 p.m. curfew (he waits in the window starting at 4 for someone to come home.) Our dog has now made a new friend in Mark, and we could not be happier. Not only is he attentive to our needs, he seems to have bonded with our dog in just a short period of time. Our dog is much happier as well, and we can tell because there are no longer items pulled on the floor or opened up in defiance as we did not come home in time to let him get his energy out. His professionalism makes us feel comfortable, but his attention and caring have gained our dog's trust, which is why we recommend him as a superior pet sitter.

Mr. Davis has was hired for numerous visits over the past two months. I honestly have to say that he was extremely professional from the beginning consultation throughout the duration of his services. I couldn't have guessed someone could be so professional and take his job so seriously. This is important because of the services he offers. My pet is considered my child on all levels. As nervous as I was, I found that he eased my fears and became very trustworthy. I won't hesitate to contact him again (and I will be) in the future. Another great compliment is he is diligent in sending daily reports of each visit. This is reassuring and often fun to read/hear on a daily basis, especially when you are away from your baby and you miss her. :-) Lastly, he is very competitively priced and was willing to work with me when needed.
