I had (for me) extensive shoulder surgery 3 years ago. Dr. Matt Oswin preformed it. It was not all that "fun" to heal from, BUT heal I did and not only is my arm PAIN FREE for the first time in almost 20 years, but his removal of bone spurs eliminated what had, evidently, been causing severe migraine headaches for that 20 years! I have not had a single headache in 3 years. Not one.I had carpal tunnel release surgery a couple of weeks ago. I've had pain in that hand for 20 years with it getting progressively worse. It was to the point that I was waking up to shake my hand out EVERY night, and dropping my coffee cup EVERY day. I had local anesthetic, and as before, had Dr. Oswin as my surgeon. Completely, 100% symptom free within a couple of minutes of completed surgery!He is a gentle, COMPASSIONATE, caring and GIFTED surgeon! He cares FOR and ABOUT you. And it shows!!The staff at both the Bellingham and Lynden offices are among the kindest and friendliest I've ever had the occasion to meet and interact with. They are ALL top-notch in EVERY way and I would never go to anyone else.

After getting the run around between my primary care doctor and FINALLY getting to the "supposedly" right place... with most of the foot work done without my doctors help... I did get to a hand specialist... An injury that happend nearly 3 months ago! With all the build up and anxiety, I must say, that I was not impressed with Dr. Bergman... infact, I think I left more unsure then when I went in... He saw me for 5 min... didn't offer any suggestions or advice... it was like me telling him... should I still work?, should I just go on wrapping it, etc... he made no suggestion what so ever... I was sure I would need an MRI... but apparantly with just a few pokes to my hand he just told me I had a contusion which can take 6 mos. to a year to heal... and then sent me out of the office with a slip to go see a hand therapist... I don't know, but years ago doctors in general were more personable... To say the least I am very frustrated... He didn't ask me anything in regard to what hurts, mobility or lack of... swelling, nothing... ok - enough said...
