We recently purchased some great tile at Pratt and Larson and the service was great and the tile was beautifully crafted. Two things amazed me. First, the tile was made in America. Portland, Oregon to be exact. Second, the two previous, bad reviews. Our experience was just the opposite.

Pratt and Larson has a wide array of the most beautiful tile you have ever imagined. The showroom is palatial and fantastic. You will leave wanting to tile everything.###However, recently I had the opportunity to work with them on a kitchen remodel. The customer service was absolutely the worst I have ever experienced. They routinely did not return calls nor emails. They were impossible to place an order with and when there was a mis-order due to their ineptitude, they were missing in action.###Find the tile you want there, their selection is extensive and then find it ANYWHERE else.

Unfortunately, P&L is the exclusive dealer in Washington for the brand of tile we wanted. So, using the power of the internet, we buy the tile from dealers in other states (it all gets shipped to you anyway and you have to pay shipping regardless). We had extreme difficulting getting them to return calls, email, or any other communication. The miscommunication caused our order to be wrong, shorting us about 20 tiles and requiring an additional order (out of state). These tiles were hand painted, so getting the second order to match wasn't guaranteed. And of course, we paid a premium price for this level of service. In fairness, our order was only about 3k, which is small beans in Bellevue. So, I can understand, but was still disappointed.
