I was referred to Dr. Joe Olivacz at North Park Chiropractic in Bel Air, MD by physician’s assistant, Laura Williams, in Dr. Karl Spector’s office, Bel Air, MD. I’ve had chronic low back pain for years due to sitting all day at a desk and spinal degeneration. It got so bad this year that I couldn’t sit, stand, or sleep without pain. After a few sessions with Dr. Joe my condition improved greatly. Along with chiropractic treatment, he gave me stretching and strength-building exercises to do. Already, the pain is much less. Dr. Joe also explained my condition to me, which reduced my fear. I thought surgery was the only answer. I had actually decreased my physical activity because I was afraid of causing more damage. Now I’m exercising more, I’m stronger and more flexible. I’d also stopped going to chiropractors, even though they’d been helpful, because I didn’t like the long waits and the frequent return visits. I’ve never had to wait for Dr. Joe. Plus the exercises he has given me to do at home have decreased my need for return visits. Dr. Joe both treated me and educated me so I’ve learned how to take responsibility for my low back pain. I’m not finished yet. There are some other preventive measures I need to take that Dr. Joe suggested. I’m looking forward to even further improvement in the future.

I have seen both Dr. Nick and Dr. Joe at this practice, but primarily see Dr. Joe. Both are wonderful. I had chronic shoulder/neck pain for years from computer work which has now been resolved thanks to the techniques used in the office. This is the office to go to if you have any muscular or joint issues. The staff is amazing. I wouldn't go anywhere else!
