Founded in 1872, LYON College is an independent, residential, coeducational, undergraduate educational institution. It is one of the leading liberal arts colleges in the South that has an enrollment of more than 450 students. The college offers a range of educational and enrichment programs for students. LYON College provides bachelor s degree courses in the various streams of science and arts, including accounting, biochemistry, biology, psychology and business administration. The college also offers pre-professional programs leading to careers in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, physical therapy and veterinary science. It occupies over 135 acres of space. LYON College has an outdoor walking track, soccer field and six-lighted regulation tennis courts. The college provides several types of athletic activities, such as baseball, basketball, soccer, golf and cross-country.
