i went to dominican star for first time and was very pleased with the stylist jada. I plan to return. Good job Jada!! The only thing I wasn't happy with was the stylists lack of interaction with their clients. They seemed to talk in their language with one another more than trying to talk with their client.

This was by far the best salon experience that I've had in years. They are extra attentive, I was in and out, and most importantly my hair was gorgeous! Light as a feather! I highly recommend this salon. Personable service, clean facility, knowledgable staff, beautiful hair - What else could you ask for?

Rosa and her older lady shampoo assistance were rude and Rosa gave one price and charged another, she quoted $45 and then charged $70. Make sure you pay first. Yes, you will get burned and they are rough

First off I never write reviews unless I get exceptional service or horrible service!!! Well this time it was exceptional!!!! I am big on customer service and this place was the best hair expirence in a long time. This was my first time here I usually wear weaves but I was referred by a friend so I gave them a try. The staff was very professional in fact the lady who did my hair was so nice she must've felt I was a little apprehensive but she assured me I would be happy with my hair she kept asking me if I was ok!!! :) secondly my hair turned out beautifully lastly it last two whole weeks which is a big deal for me lol anyway I will return!!!

My 12 year old had her hair done for back to school. Her hair is natural and she has enough hair for three people. I just didnt feel like fighting with it. The owner did her hair. Just a shampoo and blow dry with flat iron finish but oh what a finish. She actually changed the texture of her hair. It was fine. smooth and shiny. Did I mention I lasted 4 weeks. It was well worth the money. Going back this weekend.

I went here because my usual place, Flow on York Rd was not open. I was very disapointed...I discussed pricing with Rosario before getting started...she quoted me $55 w/o a deep conditioner...I asked her if she would take $50 and she waved het hand and told me to have a seat as if in acceptance of my counter offer. So I waited. ..during my wash another older lady who was very rough combed out my hair from the roots attempting to detangle it...! OUCH! and I could hear my hair snaping...why doesnt she know to start at the ends? So Rosario began doing my hair and I could not sit still from all the times shr burnt me...now I. NOT new to flat ironing and I do know that if you know what you are doing the client should not get burnt! Needless to say my face at my hairline and parts of my scalp are on FIRE! So...I go to pay with my credit card and then abd only then was I advised about the $1.50 fee to use a credit card although I had previously mentioned I would be paying by card. Anyhow...she types in $56.50...Nooooo..I didn't agree to $55...Rosario and I went back and forth...she ultimately gave me back my $5...but really c'mon ! If you want your hair pulled, if you want to be burnt, and ignored because she didn't say 2 words to me while I was in her chair...then I say go here....but I am sticking with Flow where they offer a good product and great service! I never had my hair done by any Dominican shop ni really wanted to go because I wanted 2wear my hair out. My hair was so damaged n nappy it was unreal n when I left them my hair was unbelievable. It felt like I didn have any hair cause it was so lite I kept having to touch it 2make sure I had hair. They are the best n so are the staff. The shop was clean n they had reasonable prices n I was n and out n no time. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED....

The most recent time that I went to Dominican Star Beauty Salon, was my second time. This time it wasn't as packed as the first time. I both times that I went there, the girl did my hair exactly how I asked he to do it. I recommend that if you go dont go on a sunday, because youll be there for hours.

This place does great job, very hard working and my hair looks fabulous.
