About Baltimore Heritage Preserving and promoting historic places and neighborhoods in Baltimore, Maryland. About Founded in 1960, Baltimore Heritage, Inc is Baltimore's nonprofit historic and architectural preservation organization. With two staff members, 33 volunteer board members, and a host of volunteers, we work to preserve and promote Baltimore's historic buildings and neighborhoods. Our five decades of advocacy work include fighting for the preservation of Mount Vernon Place, City Hall, Camden Station, 301 Water Street, cast-iron and class B office buildings, 225 North Charles Street, the west side of downtown, African-American historic sites, and many other significant structures citywide. More recently, thousands of Baltimore Heritage members have explored historic buildings and neighborhoods through our heritage tour programs. Each spring, our Baltimore By Foot series explores five different historic neighborhoods on consecutive Saturday mornings. Our Baltimore Behind the Scenes tours provide guided glimpses at a different historic place each month. Please join Baltimore Heritage for discounts on tours and events and to help support the future of Baltimore's historic buildings and neighborhoods. Individual membership is $35 and a family membership is $50.
