Danilo F. Fernandez & his entry level receptionist (shared by the way with other providers) are horrible to deal with. I was referred to him and schedule an appointment 1 month in advance. The day before the appointment they called to try and reschedule because the office and doctor wanted to "go home early" that day. I advised them that I would try to re-arrange my schedule, but with such short notice could not confirm. (By the way, they charge a missed appointment fee, could I charge them the same fee for cancelling my appointment? Once I arrived, we had to wait 2 hours to be seen. Dr. Fernandez proceeded to speak with me and NEVER even asked my son (the patient) one question. He said he would have to "refer" us to another doctor that could provide said assesment. I asked why the receptionist scheduled the appointment w/him if he was not able to provide said assesment and I was asked to LEAVE. Leave or we will call the police/security. Mind you this took place after they collected payment &made sure insurance was available to bill. Dr. Danilo Fernandez asked me to leave because he is accustomed to dealing with severe mentallly impaired persons on a daily basis and when one logical person asks a question that he DEEMS doesnt merit a response, he promptly asks you to leave. HE LOCKED his door. I am concerned with the possibility of insurance fraud as he has NO reason to bill Blue Cross for this visit. He wasnt able to help & demanded we leave or he would call authorities. His hostility was his response to my questioning them why we waited 2 hours and why he wasnt "seeing the patient", he wanted to terminate the appt before we even arrived. =(
