In August, 2014, my husband (who wrote the first Software for the Ethernet-now called Wi-Fi and who is the inventor of the sleep mode on your computers, became unable to work a full or part time job. He has been denied disability twice by Texas Social Security. In August 2014 Dr. Angirasa who trained in Chicago-sent him to Brackenridge and was very upset he was not admitted. He still has no insurance. Here it is 2017 and this one saved his life again--infected diabetic foot ulcers and other things. Prevention saves lives, not money. He is not eligible for Veterans benefits as he had an early honorable discharge and is 62 and owns property we can no long afford. Thanks Texas. I think not. His condition if he had been placed on disability would be better now -no worse and he would probably be out working. All the stress has taken its toll. The staff there was not very good for helping in 2014 with the paper work. We went there 03/29/17 and one woman said she did not know where the 2014 paper work was. Doctor Angirasa is a skilled and caring surgeon. Have not found better in Austin yet. If I had not had professional Nurse and Physician Assistant's training in Texas and California, he probably would have already lost his foot or feet. Wrong and all was done from the previous Administration who did not seem to care. All citizens deserve free health care and pa ore if you want it faster.
