The nurses were all completely rude. Each nurse told us different things and gave completely different instructions about my gauze and meds. They took over an hour to bring the prescriptions to us. And they didn't actually have the medications ready for me, we had to drive to CVS and then wait 2+ hours for them to get filled. Maybe instead of doing their nails the nurses should call in the prescriptions to the pharmacy ahead of time so they are ready to be picked up when the patient needs them. I got my teeth removed at 8am, but I didn't have my pain medication until well after 4pm because one of the nurses put my pain prescription inside my aftercare packet then handed the other prescriptions to my friend telling her, "these are all the prescriptions she needs to get filled." I went home, took a nap, and woke up to find out that all I had was some ibuprofen and antibiotics. After finally finding the prescription, we then had to return to the CVS and wait while it was filled. Meanwhile I was in so much pain, I was doubled over in my chair. After finally getting the pills and returning home, I discovered they wore off after barely 3 hours. I called the on-call doctor to make sure it was safe to take 2 pills at a time, but it took him over an hour to call me back just to tell me, "most people don't need more than a few ibuprofen and the pain is gone, so I don't know what your problem is." I even explained to him that I'm the type of person who has a high tolerance to medications- I can take 4 Advil and feel nothing. He didn't seem to believe me, which is concerning because doctors should know that the reason there are different medications and dosages is because there are many types of people who all handle pain differently. Now I only have 3 pills left, and after emailing and calling the office several times, they didn't get back to me until after they had closed. I told them I was going to need a refill, but they aren't going to give me one until Monday morning.
