We have several kids in band playing flute, oboe and trombone. Mr. Kirkwood is able to service all of them and keep them playing. They have the reeds my oboe player needs to, which have been pretty hard to consistently find elsewhere.

Pleasant, honest, highly knowledgeable and talented! Whether it's lessons, music books, instruments accessories or repair, I can count on getting wonderful service and reliable assistance. Go here first!!

DO NOT GO THERE!!! This place is a rip off. Took my son's instrument there a year ago for a sticking key, it was still under warrenty at the time. The guy called me up and claimed there was extensive body damage and abuse. There was one dent from another kid knocking the instrument over. He claimed he fixed the instrument and we picked it up. He never fixed the dent at that time.



Now a year later I took the instrument back for a sticking key. Again he calls carping at me saying the kid is abusing the instrument and there is 'extensive body damage' (this was the same body damage that was there the previous year that he did not fix). Since it isn't under warrenty now he charges me over $200 to fix the instrument. Guess what, now that he is getting money to fix it he fixed the dent and charged it to me when he should have fixed it a year ago when it was under the warrenty.





The instrument is six years old and in six years it has only been to the shop four times, usually for a new pad or sticking key. So if my child was really abusing this instrument don't you think it would have been in the shop more than four times? And what right does this jerk have to call and fuss at me out about the instrument...whether it is under warrenty or not he is getting paid to fix it, so he should just shut the F up and do his job.



I will never take any more business to this place....will go to Portmans from now on. I have been told they know how to treat their customers.

I dropped my guitar off to be setup (tremolo etc) and and new strings put on it, they had it done within about 2 hours. People working there were very helpful and informative to me as well, I would definitely recommend this store to others.
