I can only comment on our first impression. We felt like we were buying car tires when we came in. Smelly building, ignored for almost 2 hours by staff as we sat there waiting for our daughter, and when we met w/ the psychologist all together she was curt and unemotional. Her "sales pitch" was terrible...no validating their success rates, no explanation of their programs or approach, she just basically shoved a paper in front of our faces after a brief "tell me your side of the story" intro. and said "this is what she needs to do"....Very strange for a psychologist and it was borderline "rude". Because of this "uncaring" first impression, we opted out. Starting treatment at another nationwide facility just down the road on Monday....Totally different experience!

The previous review could not me more wrong. ACE saved my daughter's life and got us back on track as a family. From the receptionist to every therapist we dealt with, they were kind, professional, and helpful. Our daughter was nervous at first, but quickly connected with other girls there and with the therapists. She is at college now and doing well. The previous reviewer sounds a bit entitled...most professionals I know charge for meetings.

My daughter was in treatment here for over 6 weeks and the experience was horrible. There is a complete lack of coordination between nutritionist, therapist and family counselor and in our case two of those three were unliscensed. My daughter's therapist was unprofessional bordering on negligence. I had to call a meeting with the priamary therapist just to get a copy of the treatment plan and meal plan for my daughter and they had the audacity to charge me $135 for the meeting.



If you have the means to go somewhere else - I highly recommend it because this Atlanta Center for Eating Disorders will likely NOT be a wise use of your money.
