Dr. DiFrancesca is a 2003 graduate of Temple School of Medicine. He recently completed his surgical residency at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He is focused on improving the quality of life of his patients by educating them in the importance of good foot care. In order to maintain fitness, general and metabolic health and well being, foot health is essential for people with diabetes. The pathogenesis of diabetic foot disease is complex and if risk factors are not identified early and appropriate management implemented, the risk of lower limb amputation rises significantly. Patients with diabetes are encouraged to see their physician or podiatrist when it comes to treating their feet.
