I purchased return tickets for my family from Leader Travels. My credit card was charged $5493 on May 25, 2011. I never received any confirmation or E-ticket for the agreed itinerary. As the travel date nears, I was contacted by Lipi on July 19th with a different itinerary. I insisted her to provide the same itinerary which I paid for in two months advance. She said she would try and get back to me. After a nervous day of waiting, she just send me an E-mail saying that she could not get the same itinerary for same price. I paid the price in two months advance to book the ticket. I badly wanted to talk to some one in the agency to discuss other alternatives that were suitable for me. However, I wasn’t able to reach her, as she did not pick up my calls. She shoot an another apology mail just 36 hours before our travel saying that she could not book tickets and they would reimburse the money which I paid earlier. We immediately booked the tickets through another agent for a reasonable price within half an hour. The other agent sends me the E-ticket and receipt within an hour. I am still not able to contact the owner Sultan by phone. So far I don’t see any credit to my credit card. A quick search on Google revealed that Leader Travels is notorious for this kind of practice in the past. I turned out to be one of the latest victims. Now I need to pay the credit card which was used to purchase the actual tickets. I request BBB to kindly help with this matter.
