Service real slow at lunch. Tried to redeem loyalty points and it took 20 minutes. Food ok and staff friendly but inefficient

There new lite eaters specials are great, add a beer and a good desert. Hey you have to have a balanced meal.

I started coming to this BJ's years ago, as I was investigating my new found love of craft beer and micro brews. As of recently, their decor was becoming stale and dated - as recently as last July, they were still sporting the wood and brass sports bar look.



But came here last night after a long absence and was surprised - and quite happy - to see that they are updating this location with wood, slate and stainless, much in the same vein of their Glendale store. Once completed, the look will be quite nice.



As for the food...I tried something a bit different last night: Gluten Free Pizza. The menu boasted of a crust made with herbs so I thought it would be a flavorful base to build a tasty pizza on.



Not so much.



The crust was almost sweet, it was soggy in most areas except for the very edge, and even with the addition of Italian sausage (tasty) and white onions (scarce), it just wasn't all that good.



The "Pirhana" Pale Ale I had was delicious though. Thank goodness the beer quality hasn't been compromised!
