Ordered Merry Maids of Anderson, SC, online and had a call from owner that night booking two weeks in advance and received my quote. Also moved one day after at the owners request. The night before the owner called again to say she made a mistake and that my estimate did not include my "pet fee" but since it was so late, she would only charge me HALF of the additional $150. This brought the quoted service cost to $297 for a main floor plus one lower floor bedroom. When we arrived it was hard to see what had been cleaned. Could see marks in bedroom carpet and on furniture that was vacuumed. NO clean smell as some reviews discuss. Kitchen table still had crumbs on it. Bench seat cushions not moved and crumbs under those. Dining table had a large swath of dust as if it had been dusted half-way. Floors looked swept but not mopped, very dull. Overall, a lackluster job for just shy of $300. I would ask for personal recommendations to call and talk to first. At this point, my card has been charged, only can get the answering machine for the business, and have no recourse but to re-clean my house tonight (before guests arrive tomorrow) and learn an expensive, $300 lesson to not believe the few reviews posted online about this business.
