Liz Bybee is the best family law attorney in Madison County, perhaps even the state of Indiana. She will tell you what you NEED to hear....it may or may not be want you WANT to hear...if she does not think she can accomplish what you want her to do (if she does not think you have a winnable case), she will not take your money. Not everyone will extend to you that courtesy. (they will say, hey, sure, we'll file this, and that, and give it a go) and thousands of dollars later - you have the EXACT result that Liz told you about. She is direct, forthright, and doesn't beat around a bush - she doesn't let you pay her to give you a warm, fuzzy feeling (save your money and buy a teddy bear puppet with a string you can pull to make its mouth move to tell you what you want to hear)) - she does her job and tells you like it is. There is NO ONE who you would rather have standing next to you in a court room - she is an excellent negotiator who will not let you waste your money fussing over trivial issues - she is a formidable litigator who do everything to win your case. She isn't your "feel good" buddy - she is your attorney looking out for your best legal interest - she expects you to do exactly what she tells you - period. If you are a whiner and want to pay someone to lie to you and rack up your attorney fees while making you feel all good inside- go to someone else. If you don't listen to her and just don't want to hear the TRUTH, she will terminate you as a client and send you to someone who will better fit your needs and personality (but you will still get the same results).

Elizabeth Bybee is one of the best family law attorneys that Madison County has to offer. She is thorough, articulate and cost-effective. She handled my divorce and custody issue in a timely and fair manner. I would not call her "rude" or "crass", I can't imagine. She is an attorney, who wants the absolute best for her client, and thinks of the children first, and if that means putting me in my place when I'm thinking abstractly, then so be it. She is confident and knows her stuff. I would recommend her to ANYONE facing a divorce, or custody issues. She will not lie to you, or "sugar coat" anything. She will tell you like it is, and I wouldn't ask for anything less from the attorney who is handling my very important life matters.

Elizabeth Bashaw Bybee is a crass, unprofessional scam artist. I hired her; she failed to give legal advice, failed to respond to inquiries, was rude, crude and inconsiderate. She hung up the phone on me several times. I hope she takes the money she scams from clients and puts it toward some anger management, interpersonal skills and business management training. I would not recommend seeking any kind of legal services from her. I picked her name from the yellow pages and was a HUGE mistake.
