Pet Lodge Pet Resort has been lovingly caring for pets since 1979.  I'm the owner, Ken Miller, and I've been training dogs for 50 years.  My manager, Jeff Hoehn has been with me for 27 years and is our training director as well.  We feature obedience training, pampereddog boarding in a pet resort atmosphere, cat boarding in comfortable Kitty Condos, professional dog grooming, caring for small aged animals and birds, and a popular daycare program, and have a nice variety of activities that our guests always enjoy if requested, including swim times in our shallow but large bone-shaped, crystal clear swimming pool, nature walks among our 13 state park-like acreage, and both group and private play times.  We also offer the option of all day swims and/or play times.

Our dogs love it here. They were always stressed out when we took them to other places. They like the pool and the yard. I will refer friends and family! Thanks and happy holidays!

I go out of town a lot for bus...

I go out of town a lot for business and to visit family and cannot always take my three dogs with me. I love knowing that the Pet Lodge is there for my dogs always! Thank you!

We have taken our dogs to Pet Lodge for the last ten years. They always wag their tails when we check them in. Makes us feel so much better about leaving them.

My dog was boarded at Pet Lodge from May 30-June 7 2015 and is very sick and in isolation at the Georgia Vet Hospital on Abernathy Rd. He has a positive blood and nasal test for Canine Influenza H3 N2. His symptoms included the fact that he lost 10% of his body weight while there 8 days. He is extremely lethargic and a horrible non stop productive cough. This is a dangerous flu. While they love animals and the facility has some great features.... there is way too much medical risk to your dogs. Trust me when I say my vacation was not worth what I have returned home to deal with. I hope my dog lives and does not have long term effects from this.

This is our second time using The Pet Lodge for our two dogs (19 months old). The Pet Lodge accommodated our request for lodging with limited notice for the week of Thanksgiving. We had a great experience when we left them in the Pet Lodge's care during the summer, so we decided that this was our new pet care lodging when we go out of town. Our dogs and their belongings came home clean and our dogs were healthy and happy. It is nice to have the peace of mind knowing that they are together and in good hands when we can't be home with them. The Pet Lodge will be our go to pet care lodging in the future as well.

I will NEVER bring my dogs back here again. In the past, our other dogs have stayed here many times and we had no complaints. However I went to pick my puppies up this morning & their bed, blankets and toys were soaked in urine. I had asked them to not wash our dogs’ linens as one of them has allergies but one would assume that if your dog pees everywhere that it would be an exception and their bedding would be cleaned. I was absolutely disgusted to see the condition of their things. I came to get them 3 days early & I'm so glad I did because it would have killed me to know that they had been sitting and sleeping in their own urine for a week. We had also requested that our pups do not wear their collars unless on a walk & they must have left a collar on because I found it chewed up in several pieces in their crate. They also lost my dog's allergy medication & by the way she is itching, it doesn't seem like anyone bothered to give it to her. The day I picked them up I noticed that one of my pups was urinating blood. She seemed to have a UTI or something of the sort. Took her to the vet the very next day and it turns out she has a very bad UTI. She has crystals in her bladder which are a precursor of stones. The vet said it was from a lack of water and failing to take the pups out often enough & that if I had let them stay for the whole week as planned my dog would have definitely developed bladder stones. I am truly horrified at the lack of attention paid to the animals. Overall, it seems fairly obvious that my dogs were not well looked after. As I said, NEVER coming back.

"I have lived in the area for about a year and a half now, and was a little nervous the first time I brought my dogs there, because I had never left them anywhere before. I just love the place and would tell anyone that needed to leave there animal somewhere they should leave with the Pet Lodge. My dogs have always be well cared for here and the staff is so nice.

I took my two family friends dogs to Pet Lodge and when I drove up there were a ton of dogs playing outside in a beautiful outside yard. When I picked up Cammie and Moxie they were super fluffy from their bath and the staff was so attentive to the pups. I recommend Pet Lodge for anyone considered boarding their pet at a luxury pet resort."

My husband and I used Pet Lodge for years for our 4-legged kids Abby and Frazier. Unfortunately, Abby passed away and we relocated to the North Georgia mountains. Since Abby's passing and our moving, we haven't been on a vacation without Frazier. We take him with us everywhere! We then were faced with a trip to Florida that would not allow for us to take Frazier with us. What to do?? There are multiple boarding facilities in Blue Ridge, GA, but NONE compare to Pet Lodge! So, we are taking our 1st trip in 3+ years without a pet, and Frazier is of course, going to stay at Pet Lodge! It's the only place we trust, especially since this will be Fraziers first time alone without Abby. We feel confident that Frazier will be safe and loved while we are gone. We would't trust him anywhere else!! Thank you Pet Lodge!!!

Thanks everyone at Pet Lodge for giving him a break from the noisy construction at his house. He is much more relaxed, and looking forward to watching the Olympics by the fire!
