I was directed to this webpage by a friend, who, while surfing the web for popular places to eat around the Lehigh Valley, was startled to find a negative review for one of the more favorable restaurants in our area. I too, became stunned when I read about this reviewer's 'terrible' experience with their waitress, Toni, a waitress whom I have gotten to know quite well over the past two years. Just about every two weeks or so, my husband and I eat at On The Border in Allentown, Pa. Since our second visit to On the Border following their opening, we have had one waitress and one waitress only, Toni. She is a warm and compassionate server who goes above and beyond to accommodate her guests in every way. She is always pleasant and smiling, quick to greet us with a warm welcome within seconds of being seated. Her personality and genuine desire to make each visit as close to perfect as possible, is probably the biggest reason why husband and I request Toni every visit. She is always recommending new things, (although I usually insist on my big borderita), and we have never had to wait for refills on soda or drinks, and dirty plates never linger before a quick removal. Toni, even takes the time to talk with us, and I have noticed, many of her other guests as well. We sometimes discuss the news of the day, our families, or whatever my husband and I have on our minds. Each time that Toni passes by our table while waiting on her other guests, my husband either jokes around with her or I begin to ask her about this that or the other.

I cannot believe that BeL710 would tell such a tall tale about her visit to On The Border. I just wanted to clear the air for a good restaurant and more importantly for one of my favorite servers. But, please… do not take my word for it, go visit On The Border and ask for Toni yourself. What a time you will have!
