Over one month ago, we visited Allentown pool tables. They had an extensive selection of tables to choose from at various budgets. The staff was very knowledgeable. My family and I expected everything to go smoothly, but the home installation greatly disappointed us. Unfortunately, all three members of our family while in a nearby room heard a loud bang coming from where the table was being assembled. Upon completion, we checked out the table. There was so much to examine and check out. We did not check our newly finished wooden floor as well as we should have. Later we noticed two splits in the boards and smaller scratches. We picked up from the floor many used heavy duty staples. The owner claimed nobody dropped anything nor caused damage. We would have accepted an honest apology because accidents do happen when lifting heavy objects, but to deny what we heard makes us not want to trust anyone unsupervised working at our home again. We suggest in the future that customers consider remaining present during the entire process and don't trust instincts. The owner indicated he'd remove the table from our house, and refund the cost of the table; however, he would keep a $400 installation fee if that would resolve the issue. Obviously, the table is being enjoyed and is staying in our house. It's a shame, but this purchase ended on a sour note and we'll never be so trusting again.
