The Alhambra Parks & Recreation Department is a division of the government of Alhambra, Calif. The department is responsible for the development and maintenance of the city s parks and recreational facilities, including Alhambra Park, Almansor Park, Granada Park, Story Park, Emery Park and Burke Heritage Park. It administers, manages and implements leisure services to accommodate a variety of interests, ages, cultures and abilities. It publishes activities programs several times per year and coordinates community events, civic and cultural programs, programs for senior citizens, a weekly farmers market, a community garden, volunteer services and contract management of the municipal golf course.
