Founded in 1950, Sixth Street Baptist Church was incorporated in the State of Alabama in 1960. The Church has an average attendance of 275 in corporate worship and 220 in Sunday School with each age group well represented by infants, adults and senior citizens. It blends Sunday morning worship with a full praise band and choir. The Church runs men s, women s, children's as well as youth ministries. Sixth Street Baptist Church is a member of the Southern Baptist Convention and Tallapoosa Baptist Association.
