Both my children attended SpringStone Montessori School. I must say I am very pleased with the care and instruction SpringStone provides. As a working mother it can be very difficult to leave your kids with people you don't know. The SpringStone staff were always kind and comforting to my kids. It made me feel good about taking them to school each morning.

I am now ruined when it come to care for my daughter. We love and miss Springstone on Randolph! My husband's job took us away from Albuquerque, and I have to say that I miss Springstone just as much as my family from Albuquerque. This is because they became our family. My daughter is constantly pouting and saying, "I miss my old school!" And looking for a new place is next to impossible now because nowhere is as good as the place we left. And this is specifically for the Randolph location, as we tried Rio Rancho for a while because it was closer... and then ended up back at Randolph, driving the extra 30 +/- minutes just to feel back at home at our favorite school with our favorite people. We miss you all!

My children have been going here for years. The teachers have been really good, especially the ones that have been at the school for years (ie., at least 3 yrs). Lately though there have been many problems and it made us sick to our stomachs to have to deal with the owner's daughter who manages the business for her. Presently, we still think the early year rooms are good. The teachers really work with you when you want to accomplish something with your child (e.g., manners, potty training). But the pre-school side is really breaking down. Do you think it is appropriate for them to show your kids PG-rated movies or clips of 9/11 without your consent? Be careful with the reviews you read on Google; we were offered a chance to win stuff if we wrote a good review (2013/2014). There was another website where we could leave reviews, but I don't recall it. I really hope they turn around for the better, for most of the teachers' sake, since they have done so much for the school.

I am an Early Childhood Specialist and I had my child for about a month in this child care center. I give this place one star because of several reasons: 1) even though they say their staff is Montessori certified (mainly online) I recommend if you are looking for a truly Montessori institution to go to American Montessori Society website and look for CERTIFIED Montessori school in your area (there are several in the Albuquerque area). 2) Look into New Mexico Kids website (www.newmexicokids.org) and look into the CYFD Licensed Provider Site Survey Inspector Reports type the name of this "School" and see what even licensing has to say of this place. 3) As in the personal side, I did not know where to look so I trusted my child to these people. During the time my child was there the interactions were poor, teachers were always gossiping to each other and paying poor attention to children. I saw once or maybe twice in a month teachers sitting with children and having real interactions (and there were not the teachers that they are always calling their "Montessori" staff), that to me is awful!

Please take a look at what is out there and trust the reviews of this place, the CYFD reports and complaints, THEY ARE TRUE!!! There are better places for your child out there!

I am hiring a layer to seek compensation for my three year olds permanent damages

While my son was at spring stone I witness and had to speak up about several issues and was always told "it will be addressed. ". I had to speak up 4 times to the head teacher yumi about me seeing the teachers kiss the children. I said the spread of stds is a issue she said you can not infect some one with any std by kissing. Note: I'm fight to get my son away from My son suicide grandmother(mother mom) She opens the door on my son at the day care when dropping him off to his class room. Says its my two years old falt because he is not paying attention. Gives him a knot on his head two inches wide and sticks out a 1/2 inches. Day care Did not report injury as policy and allowed grandmother to write report. Report and immediate parentt contact is required by teacher. My son was put to nap a hr later. The policy is put their because they do not have the medical education to decide if it was safe for my son to go to sleep. He still has lump from the incident so it was not minor. My son health is a priority and because your not concern with you doing your job right, It's my first priority. I witness my son and his class mates being yeld at by the teach at the top of her voice. I had to lecture again the head teacher about how a teacher role model should at. Again promises to be addressed. Not feeding my son. Tried and did sneak my son in to the three year old class when he was just turn two against my request. It's was a Stupied request. So they could let teachers go home early . So the promised kid to adult ratio is not true. My son in his class finishing his daily complete curriculum was just a story to get my son to be a pretend monissuri school. Not a Disinfecting is a priority over teaching the kids. I asked the teacher why is she cleaning with bleach while the kids are in the room and when they can get the solution on them. Why on the toys they are playing(chewing on) with? I'm sure other solutions are available. She says "we have to. It's what they tell us we have to get done during the day while we watch the kids." Again I had to lecture the head teacher about kid friendly solutions and timing. I was told this school has a complete day curriculum. I did not read where my son plays in toxic criminals and watch a teacher clean for two hrs. The court Oder I had states a visitation schedule was to be turned in by mother every week. Spring stone had a copy. Mother stop following court order and spring stone supports mother against court by calling by hiding my son and calling the mother saying "I was going to pick my son up she should come for him first". Yumi says it policy to notify the other parent. Costing me thousands of dollars to sort out in court. That's fine and I look forward to seeing all the teachers in court and making them be held accountable for the abuse to my son. I look forward to court.. I am now putting 20-30k away this to resolve my issues . I will never forget about not one scar on my son.

Too many children to teacher ratio, and too many excuses as to why its not corrected. Springstone will tell you at most its a 5:1 ratio. 8:1 is common, so is a dirty diaper and and rash when I pick her up, and very thirsty. I wouldn't have ever enrolled my child here knowing now from experience. Beware.

Worse School I've seen... I ...

Worse School I've seen... I had to file a abuse report Dec 21, 2012 with the cops instead of addressing the issue with their staff they drop my son to hide the incident. Sad and I hope the administration takes action. unfair my son has to go with out his friends because of low standards. I had to repeatedly tell the head teachers about seeing staff kiss kids on the mouth. Head teachers would say they would talk with the teachers.

Great Daycare

My son has been going to this preschool for over a year and has really come out of his shell. They have great activities and the staff is very caring. They also are patient and have a good curriculum. They also provide plenty of snacks and nutritious meals.

The only gripe I have is how several pieces of my son's clothing (hat, jacket, etc) would go missing when I went to pick him up and lots of times were never found.
