Amazing custom exhaust work for classic and performance cars, quick and affordable repairs for modern car exhaust systems, along with solid work on brakes/shocks/struts. Father and son operation with 2 generations of muffler men before them, a rare find in today's corporate/franchise auto repair world. They custom-make most everything for your exhaust system, and, will fairly and correctly fix goofball mistakes from other muffler/exhaust shops. Real close to downtown Akron and Firestone park and open most Saturdays. They are in the middle of the big Akron road and highway construction project but are open for business and not going anywhere.

I first visited Deckers a few years back when my Saab 9 5 had an exhaust leak and I was on the way to the dealership to get it fixed. The dealer had already quoted me a price(hundreds of dollars, whole exhaust system needed replaced!) and I stopped on a whim. Mike took a look and told me the only part bad was the flex pipe and could be replaced (cost me a little over $100 compared to the dealers $800!) He was even able to do it right then, no waiting. He earned my business that day with the quality of work, the time it took and the price he charged. Since then, its the only exhaust shop I've used-my car, wifes and kids. If exhaust work is needed done, this is the place! I highly recommend them!

Go see these guys!! Have fixed many of my cars over the years and they just saved me again when my car broke down in cleveland and the shop there told me 1200 to fix my exhaust, of course I left. They got me to be able to drove and I went straight to Deckermuffler and they fixed my felx pipe for 140 and got my exhuast set back in place for free. Couldn't be more pleased. They could tell I was upset when I walked in but they sure let me leave happy! Will only take my car their for exhaust, brakes, or anything else. A+++++

Very friendly staff, I walked in with a good attitude and they returned the great attitude back to me. I got my muffler fixed for half the price, half the time, with even BETTER QUALITY work than the wanna be competitors. these guys KNOW what they're doing and are honest reliable craftsman

I've been to decker twice and the service there is good , I just stop by an ask if I could get something on my car fixed an they do it right then an there , their prices are good an reasonable. I would recommend them to anyone who has exhaust problems, needs welding something on . And theirs also funny too, an they like to eat,lol

Owner Mike Decker is a second generation muffler man, and, now his sons Jeff and Nate work right by his side at Decker Muffler.



Of course, they also do minor brake adjustments to complete pad, drum and rotor repair and replacement. Shocks and struts too. You may as well have them change your oil and get a lube job while the car is up on the lift.



Decker Muffler is conveniently located just south of downtown Akron at 1060 South Broadway, north of Firestone Park. Take the South Main Street exit (exit 22) from Interstate 76. Look for the big yellow garage or call Mike and the boys at 330-376-MUFF

The owner was very rude to me. He gave me an unreasonable estimate for the repair and when i refused to get the repair done for that price he used foul language.
