I wish I read the reviews before going there! Dropped my snowblower wheel to get the tire replaced, picked it up next day and noticed the thread was different and it just looked off but paid and left anyway as I just wanted to get the snowblower ready. As I was installing the wheel on I realized this new tire is about 2 inches shorter, so little upset I went back to allen and brought my other wheel with ne to show him the problem. He said he doesn't have another tire like the new one and can't give me refund because I didnt take receipt when I paid with cash. Called me names and wanted to fight me outside after telling me to @#@##@#&=@=. I ended up calling police to report all this. It was my mistake to not get the receipt and leaving the place initially with gut feeling something is off about this (new) tire

Do not buy or have anything serviced here or you will be sorry. Rated "F" by BBB. I don’t usually write reviews good or bad but in this case I feel compelled to do so. I needed repairs under warranty for a lawn mower purchased elsewhere. I called the warranty company and they were very helpful until they told me that Allen Lawn Mower was the closest warranty repair shop. I said oh no because of previous bad experiences getting our equipment serviced there for our church several years ago. I thought oh well maybe they changed. The girl from the warranty company advised me that she will notify Allen regarding the repair and gave me a repair reference number and told me I was all set for the following day to call them to make arrangements for pick up (My warranty includes pickup and delivery). I called them several times the same day and at least several more times the following day and only got a busy signal. I checked the number several times to make sure it was correct. Finally I transported it to their shop myself. I asked the person that took it in how long will it take and he said it will be done by Friday (this was on Tuesday). We also picked up a business card to verify that we had the correct phone number. Today Friday, I called numerous times and the phone rang busy so I decided to go to the shop and to my amazement it sat in the exact same spot where I had left it so I walked over to it and noticed it was not repaired. I was upset and asked the person that took it in why it was not fixed (I used a few choice words as well which I am sorry for) and he said to me I told you we are two weeks behind####!!! I said then why did you tell me it would be done by Friday and he replied look at your service order and it did have a date of estimated completion of two weeks later in fine print. If I had known that I would have called the warranty company to see what they could do for me. The person also said we don’t want to repair it any way get it out of here and take it back where you bought it. The warranty company advised me to take it to any authorized dealer for repairs and they will pay the claim. So if you did not buy it there don’t go there for service.

Highway Robbery by the Service Department - outrageous service prices - I was charged $220.00 for routine service on a push mower......labor alone was $170.00 . What exactly is a chassis checkover for $50.00? It's a flippin' push mower! Why does it cost $30.00 to check the belt and grease? It's not a car - it's a push lawnmower! Why was it necessary to power wash a lawn mower that was power washed before it was sent for routine service? $25.00 for a single blade? It's a friggin' push mower! Why does it cost $90.00 (excluding parts) to replace a spark plug, change the oil, test compression, clean cooling fins which had already been cleaned, replace an air filter, adjust a carburator which did not need adjusting, and inspect a starter which did not need an inspection. The TOTAL for "parts", excluding the blade was a whopping $16.00. I will NEVER do business with this company ever again...I am done with them. I would suggest that anyone who considers this company to go elsewhere.
