Jamal was very prompt and did a great job of explaining what he was doing. He programmed both of my thermostats for me, and let me see how dirty my air ducts were and advised me how to get them cleaned and maintained.

Had a service call by Josh to take a look at the air conditioner in the basement. He determined it was a bad thermostat. Instead of having him put a new one in, I opted to buy one at Lowes and install it myself 😡After having problems last night, I thought I had turned it into the off position. I got advice from Josh then went downstairs in the morning. The basement was about 100 degrees. The heat was running all night without turning off!! I called Hammock and Robbie the service manager called me and ran me through the set up. I have been using Hammock for over 12 years and would not call anyone else. Courteous, personable, professional and willing to help with a problem. Highly recommend. I learned to let the professionals fix your problems!!

My co-worker informed me of Hammocks AC and I'm so glad she did. Very pleased with my new HVAC unit that Hammocks AC installed. Got a great deal on a Trane unit which I know will last me many years. Fred came out to do the estimate. Very nice man, knew his business and was able to help me determine the best HVAC unit for my house. The installers, Kevin H. & Tyler were very professional, got my old stuff out and the new heating & A/C units installed in under 4 hours. They made sure everything was running smoothly and that I understood my new programmable thermostat before they left. The installers were very careful not to leave mud on my flooring since it was raining outside.

And now my house is warm!

I plan to use Hammocks AC for all my HVAC needs and service updates. Great company, great employees. Glad I did business with them.

Outstanding and courteous service. Arrived on site faster than estimated. Couldn't have asked for anything better.

The part in our ac/furnace went bad almost 3 months outside of the labor warranty on the system. They were more than willing to stand behind their products and honor the labor warranty even after it had expired. These are the kind of companies I like doing business with.

Great price for upgrade of 2 complete systems in our home - our heating & air bill is 1/2 of what it was with our old system. Knowledgable, professional thorough and accommodating ~ referred to our neighbors who used them as well! Hammock's was referred to us, and they also installed 2 complete systems at our place of business.

Hammocks was AMAZING! You will absolutely be completely satisfied and beyond by choosing them over the other AC giants. They beat all prices by FAR, they actually LISTEN to what you want and NEED, and are there to answer any and all questions. And I had A LOT. When they left my house was FINALLY cooling off, and I knew how to program my new thermostat! They're friendly, fast, down to earth, and very knowledgeable. You simply can't go wrong with them and I will recommend them to anyone and every one. Horrible Company, Stay Away!!!!!! Don't even let them look at your units. I even waited a day to post this review to calm down. I used them before and thought they were fine. We hired them to look at my A/C units before summer came. 5-6 Weeks later when I went to start to run the A/C, a unit would not work. I called them to see why the unit was not working; they wanted to charge a service fee. I said I would pay for parts and labor, but not for a service fee for something that they said was working. The manager became really upset with me and very rude, and then accused me of breaking my own unit.

I called SHUMATE and told them my A/C issue; they actually told me the check the batteries in the thermostat and the condensation pan first. I did, it was the batteries in the thermostat. We changed them and the unit ran fine. THANK YOU SHUMATE! You have a customer for life.

Purchased new unit from Hammoc...

Purchased new unit from Hammocks 10/09 and kept under service contract. Hammocks forgot to service first summer. I had to call them in August. They said just wait till fall. Unit died 5/12. First tech said nothing they did, didn't look at system and then told me I'd have to decide if was going to pay for his visit. I asked him to leave and had another tech sent out. He said, "Who installed this unit? Horrible job. 5 leaks, wrong filter in (they serviced 4 weeks earlier), and no one has ever cleaned the pump. Company sent another tech out to repair and while repairing one leak inside wall (6th leak may or may not have been Hammocks fault it was leaking depending on how hard they yanked on pipes when installing unit-I paid them $300 to repair this) set the inside of my wall on fire. They put the fire out with the garden hose. Hammocks refused to do anything about the fire/water damage. 5 total visits to my house to repair. 5 half days of work off to let them in. Leak in wall is fixed on my dime, and another $500 to repair the fire and water damage. Use this company at your own risk.

Beware, if something goes wrong during one of their service calls they'll refuse to accept any responsibility. Of the two AC units we own, one has worked perfectly the entire time we've owned the house - by the end of the tech visit it didn't work at all. When I called to address this - I was told there was no way this unit was working. I disputed this, it was fine until their "engineer" arrived. The gentlemen on the phone then proceeded to call me a LIAR. Use at your own risk, but keep your finger crossed that nothing goes wrong!

I found everyone at Hammocks to be extremely helpful and offering the best price on my recent A/C installation. I didn't have to wait for someone to come to the house, I was quoted over the phone and it was done within 24 hours. The installers were on time, expediant and cleaned up the mess before leaving. They even offered to vacuum my stairs.

Do not use this company. I bought a very expensive heating and air conditioning unit, and neither have worked correctly since I bought it. Not only that, they stepped through my ceiling in three different areas and did not clean up the mess, nor did they fix the ceiling. I have had both units for 1 1/2 years and niether have worked one whole season.



The staff when you call in is excellent and always very nice, but the service and products are not good.
